If you buy locally, check the selected version in that retailer’s catalogue. A worldwide brand does not guarantee that every regional warehouse carries the same pack or revision.
What to look for in a useful test
For everyday PLA, a small box, an inclined face and a curved surface reveal more than a product photograph of the reel. Compare the layer height and print conditions before deciding that a cleaner-looking example is down to the filament.
A modest bridge can expose an underside limitation. It is not a strength test, and a failed long span is not enough to say the material cannot make ordinary supported parts.
